[MAGLIA] Turn to TopDown, Books - Convertirsi al TopDown, i libri

I talked about the conversion to TopDown technique a few months ago (in this post, unfortunately only in Italian) and I started my conversion!
I bought the Interweave TopDown workshop by Wendy Bernard, I´m saving money to buy my KnitPro Nova Metal Deluxe kit, but now I want to talk about two books!


I advised you 2 books I found in the net, and now I have them in my hands! I´m talking about:

- Modern Top-Down Knitting by Kristina McGowan
- Custom Knits by Wendy Bernard


First of all, they look amazing, even if you don´t open them! But if you open these books....they look terrific!


In Modern Top-Down Knitting there are a lot af gorgeous patterns, girly and young, so trendy! I love it for these reasons! At first I wanted to buy only Custom Knits, then I read some reviews about the two books and I wanted to buy only Modern Top Down Knitting........then I bought both!
The first one for the lovely patterns, you can´t miss them! There are 26 patterns, you can see all on Ravelry ---> Modern Top Down Knitting on Ravelry. There are also a few technique tutorials.


Custom Knits has lovely pattern too, but it is more like a little handbook to teach you how to custom your knits....that´s the reason why I want to turn to topdown tecnique, to have costum knits!

There´s also another book about TopDown tecnique, this is maybe THE book, the one that inspired the two I bought! I´m talking about ¨Knitting from the Top¨ by Barbara Walker. Unfortunately Amazon don´t ship this book to Italy, so I haven´t bought it yet! But, of course, this will not stop me, I will have it someday!


I will start soon enought my first project, with my brand new yarn I will show you soon! And then I will be able to speak a little more specific about the books!

Avevo parlato della conversione alla tecnica TopDown in questo post qualche mese fa, e da allora é iniziata la mia personale conversione!
Dopo aver comprato il workshop, continuando a risparmiare per il KnitPro Nova Metal Deluxe kit, ho approfittato di un buono sconto per far miei due libri meravigliosi!
Sono i libri che vi avevo consigliato nel post di febbraio, cioé:


- Modern Top-Down Knitting di Kristina McGowan
- Custom Knits di Wendy Bernard


In inglese, ovviamente! La fotografia, l'impaginazione, i caratteri, la grafica, la carta....sono già meravigliosi solo per tutto questo! Ma è al loro interno che si cela il vero tesoro!

Modern Top-Down Knitting l'ho comprato dopo aver letto entusiaste recensioni su internet, e soprattutto dopo aver visto i meravigliosi modelli al suo interno! Sono 26, sono femminili, giovani, trendy, insomma, stupendi! Mi hanno conquistato e conquisteranno anche voi, li potete vedere sulla pagina Ravelry del libro ----> Modern Top-Down Knitting su Ravelry

Inizialmente volevo acquistare solo Custom Knits, poi leggendo le recensioni ero propensa a prendere solo Modern top-down knitting, e alla fine li ho presi entrambi, sono contentissima della mia scelta, li adoro!

Custom Knits ha dei bellissimi pattern a sua volta, che però sono personalizzabili! Questa è la motivazione principale per cui ho comprato questo libro e per cui voglio iniziare a sferruzzare in circolare: la possibilità di creare capi personalizzati, fatti su di me!
Il libro della Bernard si propone proprio come piccolo manuale che ti aiuta a personalizzare i capi!

Avevo poi dimenticato nel precedente post di menzionare quello che forse è IL libro sul top down, quello che ha ispirato i due che ho comprato; sto parlando di ¨Knitting from the Top¨ di Barbara Walker. Terribile dimenticanza la mia! Purtroppo Amazon non spedisce questo libro in Italia, ma questo non fermerà la mia ricerca e prima o poi questa pietra miliare sarà mia!

Presto inizierò il mio primo progetto da uno di questi due libri con la mia nuova splendida lana che vi mostrerò nei prossimi post! Solo allora potrò parlarvi in maniera più approfondita di questi libri, di come sono scritti e di come si riesce a seguire gli schemi!
